This Zagato-bodied car carries a C-pillar behind the driver, which helps lengthen the cabin visually. The doors and front arches remain stock, but things get very different around back. Up front you’ll notice a reworked bumper, which is longer and provides more ground clearance. Zagato would ultimately massage most of the car’s panels, carefully but thoughtfully changing the appearance. More specifically, the owner was not very fond of Porsche’s design choices on the rear haunches and deck, and wanted a more traditional GT appearance. As the story goes, a Swiss Porsche collector approached Zagato in 2013 with the hope of rebodying their CGT. This particular car has had a much shorter life as a Zagato product, only undergoing the conversion process back in 2019. A total of 18 Zagato-bodied Porsches would be built during the era, all of which have serious collector appeal to this day. Porsche driver Claude Storez approached Zagato in 1957 in search of a new body for his race-ready 356 Speedster. While not as tied to the coachbuilder as other brands, Porsche and Zagato have history dating back to the 356. Luckily for those well-heeled few, Carhuna is currently offering up a one-of-five Porsche Carrera GT Zagato. For those who need the rarest and most exclusive vehicles in their garage however, a car with a four-digit production run just won’t do. With only some 1270 examples produced, the Porsche Carrera GT is a high mark for any serious collection.
